Airsoft and Teching

Airsoft is a team game where opposing teams eliminate each other by tagging the enemy with plastic pellets or BB’s. If you have ever played laser tag or paintball you pretty much know what airsoft is all about. The main difference is that airsoft is a lot more realistic. I started playing airsoft a few years ago with a group of people I met that introduced me to it. I had played paintball quite a few times in my life and it was a lot of fun so I decided that I would give airsoft a try. It was so much fun and also substantially cheaper (paintball pellets are very expensive). It became something that I loved doing because it was a really fun team sport full of competition, which was great for me because I can be very competitive. One limiting factor though was that the beginner airsoft guns you can get are not great. They aren’t terribly accurate and they aren’t the most reliable. But I have a knack for fixing things and so I started learning how airsoft guns work. Once I learned h...

ADHD and University and SQUIRREL!

ADHD or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is a "disorder" that is not well understood by most people. TV and popular media generally portray it as a kid that is hyperactive, loud, lazy, naughty. Or maybe they question whether ADHD even exists, whether it is just an excuse to drug children and make them easier to manage. In general, whatever they are saying, it is often very polarising and puts ADHD in a terrible light. This is really harmful to those who have ADHD because it can be a major struggle to survive as a neurodivergent person living in a neurotypical society. It can also be very difficult for a neurotypical person to understand why they're struggling. This is because people with ADHD often struggle with what are considered simple tasks, things that most people take for granted. Things like: Remembering to call someone back Not losing your things all the time Finishing work on time  Regulating emotions Focusing on one task at a time Not interrupting people...

3D Printing: Why I love it [3D Printing Resources]

3D Printing: Why I love it [3D Printing Resources] 3D printing or additive manufacturing is the process of building a three-dimensional object layer by layer based on a 3D file. You input this file into a 3D printer and it will begin to make something out of plastic, resin, powders, food (chocolate), glass, and even metal. Object being 3D printed Now I don't know about you but when I first heard about 3D printing I thought it was amazing. The idea that as long as you could think of something and then make a 3D file of it that you could make it, in any shape and almost any size. Well as someone that loves to tinker with stuff and come up with creative solutions it really got me thinking of all the cool things I could make with it. I was hooked the moment my now good friend and business partner showed me their 3D printers and what they had made with them. They told me how 3D printers worked, and that they were really accessible to the everyday person, and that with some dedication it...

Motorcycles and Mechanics

Motorcycles and Mechanics . One is a passion that I love doing, and the other is a result of how my brain works. For a very long time motorcycles have seemed so cool to me and have been something I wanted. It probably started when I was a kid and my dad would take me out on rides on his motorcycle. The engine roaring between your legs, the wind flying past you at 70 miles an hour, the thrill is unlike anything I had ever felt and I was hooked. So in February 2017 when I turned 18 I decided I was going to get one . After 9 months of working two 12.5 hour shifts over the weekend I had saved up enough money to get my first ever motorbike. It was gruelling working that much on top of school but to me it was worth it to experience that feeling I had felt so long ago. I got my CBT (motorcycle learner license) done, got all the gear and finally got that bike I wanted. I was ECSTATIC! I couldn’t get enough of riding a motorbike, it was the best feeling ever. Now I have driven all kinds of ...

You can do it! ...If you want to

Hi there! This is my first ever blog and thank you so much for reading it. The reason for this blog is to help YOU do what you want to do. To have the confidence  to take the leap, the risk or just push back against what is stopping you from doing what you want to do. Whether that thing you want to do is a sport you want to start, a hobby you have no time for, a career choice you can’t decide on, a relationship you want to start, or something else. I have faced my fair share of barriers to my wants, passions, and aspirations in life. It has left me feeling hopeless or defeated, without confidence in myself. And maybe you have felt the same because of barriers like: Fear, Anxiety No money No confidence No time No support Anything else What I found out is that by seeing others passionately pursuing their aspirations and loving what they do, it inspired me to work past my obstacles. Something else was that they showed me how to work past my obstacles just by talking about what they d...
